What do we believe?
Whether you have been following Christ for years, are new to faith and church, or are seeking a friendly community where you can explore next steps… you are welcome here. We embrace the diversity of our individual experiences and faith journeys while also seeking clarity on what we have in common. With Christ at the center and surrounded by God’s abundant love and grace, we seek to strengthen our faith through the development of rich relationships. When and where do we meet?
We meet at the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs Headquarters (the Tex Fed – 2312 San Gabriel St.) on Sundays at 10am. We also always stream our services on Facebook and YouTube at 10am on Sundays as well for those who prefer to worship virtually. More information on our location is here. Please see below for a parking map as well.
The Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs (TexFed) building itself has 20 parking spaces in a lot off of 24th street.
There is free street parking on Sundays on the streets around the TexFed building.
There is additional parking at the Neill-Cochran Museum next door.
There also is a dedicated parking garage located at about 2 blocks from TexFed – off of Longview and 24th St.
What is the style of the worship service?
Our services are casual and have a mix of contemporary worship music and traditional hymns, some liturgical elements such as prayers of confession and call-and-response, and a sermon (approx 25-30 minutes) based on scripture and/or biblical themes. If you’d like to get a feel for what one is like, visit our Facebook or YouTube pages and check out a previous service.
What if I don’t know anyone?
We love making new friends! If you are planning to visit a service and would like to connect with someone in advance or have any questions, email us. We would be thrilled to hear from you. We also have a welcome table on Sunday mornings where we would love to meet you and connect you to people in our community.
What do I do with my kids?
Kids are awesome and always welcome. We encourage you to bring the whole family! We are excited to offer in-person kids programming during the worship service for children ages 4 months through 4th grade. Children and babies are also always welcome in the worship service; we’ll have crayons and coloring pages available. Visit the VineKids page for more information and to see our COVID protocols.
